Michael
D. Leshner received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude)
from New Jersey Institute of Technology
in 1973 and studied Combustion at the Graduate level at
Princeton
University. Qualified as a
Registered
Professional Engineer since 1978, he has served as Engineering Manager and
Chief Engineer for several automotive supplier and R&D organizations. Throughout
his professional career, he has gained expertise in the design, development and
testing of automotive components and systems. |
Mr. Leshner also spent five years
as Director of Research & Development for a medical product manufacturer
developing infant incubators, infant radiant warmers, and suction/oxygen
therapy products. He had primary responsibility for product conformance
to U.S. and international regulatory/safety standards.
He has been a member of
the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
since 1976, and has participated in the Baltimore section of
SAE as a member of the Governing Board, Section Officer, and
National Delegate. He is also a member of the National Association
of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS),
the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American
Society of Safety Engineers(ASSE)
and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers
(NAFE).
Mr. Leshner is a member of the American Society for Teating and
Materials (ASTM)
and participates on the committee responsible for Forensic
Engineering standards.
